Wet Sand Twilight metal print by Heidi Smith.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Wet Sand Twilight - Original photographic artwork by Heidi Smith

Twenty minutes after the sun falls below the horizon, the water gently washes the sand. I was almost chasing this scene toward the west as the light was fading fast. This image was captured during sunset twilight (also called "blue hour" in photography) when the sun is below the horizon and the light is soft and diffuse. I hope you enjoy.

I started out primarily photographing flowers, plants, and critters that I would find in my garden. I love gardening and the great outdoors.
