When Dimes Were Made of Silver - Original photographic artwork by Heidi Smith

The current coin is made with a copper and nickel alloy. Through 1964 dimes were made with 90% silver.

I had my first camera since before my teens. I used a (Minolta) film camera up until about 8 years ago when my camera failed to function while on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Although a little intimidated, I then ventured into the world of digital photography and I've never looked back. My passion is nature. I started out primarily photographing flowers, plants, and critters that I would find in my garden. I love gardening and the great outdoors.
