Sunset was at 8:03. This image was made at 8:40. It's incredible how long the beautiful dusk light remains after sunset, and it seems especially beautiful in summer. The ripples in the water crossing in front of the Queen Mary are from the steady stream of smaller vessels traveling in and out of Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach, California.
