I'm very proud of this photograph because this was my first time seeing and photographing a California Brown Bear in the wild. It was a thrilling experience to say the least. This image was captured in Crescent Meadow in Sequoia National Park, California.

I had my first camera since before my teens. I used a (Minolta) film camera up until about 8 years ago when my camera failed to function while on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Although a little intimidated, I then ventured into the world of digital photography and I've never looked back. My passion is nature. I started out primarily photographing flowers, plants, and critters that I would find in my garden. I love gardening and the great outdoors.
