Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

A long exposure was used to calm the churning surf beneath the Huntington Beach Pier. Hungtington Beach boasts the nickname Surf City because of its 8.5 miles of coastline.

The Huntington Beach Pier is a municipal pier located in Huntington Beach, California. At 1,850 feet (560 m) in length, it is one of the longest public piers on the West Coast. (The longest is Oceanside Pier at 1,942 feet). It has been damaged or destroyed four times; in 1912, 1939, 1983 and most recently on January 17, 1988 destroying the End Cafe for the second time in the decade. The pier is on the California Register of Historical Resources

The most recent reincarnation of the pier is designed of reinforced concrete to withstand 31-foot (9.4 m) waves or a 7.0 magnitude earthquake and uses an increased space between piles to accommodate surfers - as requested by the City. I started out primarily photographing flowers, plants, and critters that I would find in my garden. I love gardening and the great outdoors.
